- NEW 2024 NAFT Championships Schedule Announcement!
The North American Faux Tour (NAFT) TO council is excited to announce that we have a date and a venue for this year’s Master’s Invitational event! The Championship event for the 2023-2024 season will be held June 8-9 at Dragon’s Lair North in Houston, Texas!
But wait… there’s MORE! Our intrepid Lonestar event organizer, Doug Bowman couldn’t stop at just one awesome event. In additional to the invitation-only Masters event, NAFT will be running a Grand Tournament open to all players that will count for the 2024-2025 season.
Qualifying for Masters
Because this year’s Masters event will take place June 8-9, this year’s NAFT season will conclude April 16. So, if you are running a tournament in early April, be sure to report your event ASAP to make sure it counts for this year. All events after April 16th will count towards the 2024-25 season.
Event Format and Details
Watch for more announcements coming soon about both the Master’s Invitational and the Open GT. But we can tell you that both events will be 5-round tournaments featuring the popular clock rules, Gaining Grounds season 4, and all the latest goodies from Ashes of Malifaux.

- 2023 NAFT Masters!
Thank you to everyone who participated and especially to those who organized events this season! We had 43 events with 234 players and a whopping 998 games played! This was our biggest most successful season yet and we look forward to even more faux in the 2023-24 season.
What happens next
We will be sending out invitations to everyone who earned one of the coveted 32 spots for Masters this year. But don’t fret if you didn’t make it, if anyone is unable to attend, we will be running through the alternates and wild card rankings.
Masters will take place August 31 – Sept 1 at the NOVA Open convention in Washington DC. Go ahead and grab your convention badge since everyone will need that to attend the Masters Invitational. While you’re there, grab a NOVA Open Malifaux GT ticket as well, since that will be one of the first large events of the next season!
Masters Rules
As Wyrd has just announced an upcoming Errata document, that document will govern the 2023 Masters event. Additionally this year will use the Gaining Grounds 3 schemes and strategies (to be announced soon). Only models available in the app as of June 30 are eligible for play in the 2023 Masters tournament. (New Gencon models will be legal in the GT if they are in the app).

- Standings Updated 5/14/23 – 12 more events added!
Keep the tournament reports coming, folks! We are now up to a whopping 38 qualifying events this season and increasing by the month!
Apologies for the slow speed of updates, we were getting ready for the fantastic Richmond Fauxpen that took place last weekend in Richmond, Virginia. It featured a great turnout and one of the coolest tables we have ever seen at a Malifaux tournament! The Bonanza Brawl arena by Sebastian Padrino featured a master picture for every leader in the game allowing each match to have giant billboards. This one was Hamelin versus Ulix with each of the masters’ potential summons making up the audience.
So, head on over to the standings page for the latest results and as always, if you have an event that you don’t see on the events list, send it to us!
- Standings Updated 3/16/23
Folks the Masters standings are updated with a bunch of big events of Q1: Captain Con, LVO, and several amazing turnout events at Game Kastle’s in Washington and Maryland.
Keep up the good work! We’re happy to report a BUNCH of conferences are now qualified!
